Another year around the Sun
My Daughter turned 20 this week and so I must admit to another year’s passage as well. Today also marks my eighth year working at Toolwire and I can honestly say that I enjoy my job more today than when I was originally hired. In ten days time, I will also be celebrating my eighth year of marriage to a woman who truly balances and completes me. She has taught me more about the concepts of love, joy, happiness, faith, belief and trust than I could have learned in a lifetime apart from her.
My Dad and Gran have been gone 11 years now and I find their loss no less poignant. I hope only live up to the lessons I learned from them that others behind me may benefit from their wisdom. I will spend the next trip around our solar system focused a bit more on my diet and exercise with an eye to better managing my diabetes.
I grew up without a television in our house until I was about 15 and did not own a computer or mobile until I was 24. I watch the steady progression of technology and communication with great glee and anticipation. We truly do live in interesting times for all the curse and blessing that may be.

The value of a team
I am blessed not only to have a job but also a team.
Which just left me the joyous task of hauling it out to the curb where the city agreed to haul it away.
So when this tree fell, it was up to me to remove it. Fortunately, I live in Oregon and am surrounded by the friendliest and most competent folks on earth. A group of neighbors and friends came out and chopped it down.
The city tells me this pathway is my side yard.
